The day began normally. There was not a clue I'd be digging two graves in twenty four hours.

When old goats do comb overs

Honey Boy is not worried about aging for he has all he needs to feel safe and secure- warm shelter in the wind, shade in the sun, food in is stomach, fresh water on demand, someone to scratch the out of way places and cross species companionship.

But what many of you might not know is Honey Boy also sports a natural comb over. He wears it very well and hopes someone might take notice of him at this weekend's Workshop, perhaps capture the essence of it in chalk on paper.

It's another ZZ Top Moment

They come runnin' just as fast as they can coz' every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

The terrified sunflower and the industrious goat

"You're not allowed to eat anything in this enclosed perimeter," one said.
"Who says?" he asked.

"It's a fact. It's the way it is here," the newly forming sunflower replied.

"No one told me. And they eat the lettuce," the goat said.

There was a collective "sigh" heard from the lettuce bed.

Accepting eyes

My animals know my heart. They know the nuances of my voice and movements. At the end of a hard day, I only need look into their eyes to see their compassion. But there is a reflection in those eyes, and it is me. I stand before them worthy of receiving as well as giving.

Honey Boy Edwards

He stands so tall that when I greet him at the gate, his back is to my waist, allowing me to hug his face without even bending over. Quite convenient for woman and goat. His beard blows in the wind like the goat version of a ZZ Top video.
