We are in Uppercase Magazine!

UPPERCASE issue 30 on press from uppercasemag on Vimeo.

I am so excited to be in Uppercase Issue 30 Magazine! I have loved this magazine for a long time and was so thrilled when writer and designer Laura Tarrish asked to come to the old Apifera and interview me. I can not wait to get my copy. The video shows my spreads on about 40 second mark, and it is fun to see the good old fashioned way of making print again on the press. Thank Laura and Uppercase for including me and my work!

My latest interview now online

I was really pleased to be asked to do an interview with Joanna Marple. Besides the fact that that makes her Miss Marple, she does a very good job on her blog sharing inspiring things about writing and books. She has written YA and children's and has a very interesting background in humanitarian work.

Sometimes when I reread these interviews months or years later, I think, I guess I know more than I sometimes I give myself credit for!. Sometimes it makes me think how far I've come in my artistic evolution in the past 20 years since I became a full time artist. But I encourage you to check out Joanna's blog as there is a wealth of resources for writers too-something I will surely go back to as I work on my current book idea [which I hope to share a teeny bit in the near future].

Thank you, Joanna! You made look downright knowledgeable!

Podcast of Katherine shining on about Pino

I had a wonderful chat with Rice Freeman-Zachery this week on her Podcast series with artists. We talked a lot about Pino Pie Day and how it all came about and how little Pino is my muse.It was a fun conversation for me and when I listened to it later I had a 'pinch me' moment. I do have to practice not saying "You know" so much!
