At last....

She has arrived, and is safe.

Without fan fare, she came out of the trailer and got right to the business of entering her new domain. She is a calm soul, and is loved already. We will give her some time before we barrage her with photo ops and such. Her feet still need lots of rehab, but she is sweet, and she is here. When the trailer pulled down the long drive, she followed it until she came to the corner. Oh, my heart! But she has already met Samuelle Noel, the cat who greets just about everybody, and she is fine. And when I returned to the house, a double rainbow sat over Apifera.

I'm so happy Matilda is home. She is a beautiful and lovely donkey. When you first wrote about her and showed the pictures, I felt my heart just clutch in my chest. There is something about her that is so special and precious. Katherine, you have a golden heart and the love and the depth of compassion you have for these lonely, hurting creatures, continues to inspire me. I hope you have a wonderful time getting to know one another and that her feet will heal quickly and as painlessly as possible. Enjoy your day! Delisa :)
