Apifera welcomes Muddy Waters

I'm not sure who is more handsome, the guy on the left, or the one on the right.

The long trip from Yamhill to Benton City, through the beautiful Columbia Gorge, was well worth the trip. After looking at the litter of 7 boys, we narrowed it to two pups, and as hard as it was to pick, I knew immediately this guy was the one. It's all in the feet for me. His personality was eager, non shy but non alpha.

And may I also say that Huck has been a wonderful, patient big brother so far. And Uncle Billy, well, he's charmed that the little pup licks his ears and eye lids.

To say you will see more of Muddy in the coming weeks is an understatement.

We adore him.

That is a good looking pair of boys. Love the one on the left's new name.

What a sweet new little one to join your farm. I have a feeling that he might have his name shortened to "Muddy" from time to time, and he may well live up to that part of it! I shall look forward to more stories about him soon!

What a beautiful, wise little face!....
I have a yellow one...she is 13 now, and still lovely....
someone once stopped me when I was walking her and said "tell me the truth...ALL dogs are great, but those labs, well, arent they just a little piece of heaven?!"

uh huh!

Hi all. Puppies, ah, puppies. Such a litlle package with such incredible love, and determination. And kisses. C + GoJ, we already call him "Mud" sounds so good with Huck - go ahead, say it aout loud. Kerin- I grew up with so many different breeds- standard poodles [love them[, afghans [nuts, but lovely] beagles, and lots of terriers [that's a whole blog in itself]. Had never desired a lab, but M wanted one. And, I love them. The high stung ones drive me a bit nuts, but the breeding of these guys is just wonderful. Yes, they are special.Congrats on a 13 year old, may she keep on going.

i think the other commentators have said what i've already thought about muddy - 'what a wise little face' and 'i want to eat him'.
puppy feelings are definitely universal :-)
