Pie flying

As many of you know, I have been working on getting a variety of children's stories and other book projects in the hands of the right publishers for a couple years now. It is a long winding road, let me tell you!

The farm is good for me - it forces me to watch nature move at a pace I have no control over. I think one must look at publishing, and writing, like this. I have one story that has had so many evolutions I've lost track. It seems every time it feels like it's buried, another person takes interest in it - and then it evolves again.

The good news is I love to write, paint, draw and create these stories. I lose myself in the process. The end result will someday be a real book. But the heart of it is born from me - and whether it is in my head, or being put down visually with text, it is my creation, my process, that counts the most for me. The publishing part, the holding the book in my hand part - is all gravy.
