Changes and consolidations: please read!

If you've followed along for awhile, you might have noticed I'm like a tree- I grow branches at will, and let the leaves blossom when they need too. Such is the story of my many websites and blogs.

But my tree needed major pruning, and I have consolidated the Donkey Dreams and the Store blogs into this main blog. I just couldn't keep up, or not in a way I felt good about. Now all Pino news, apron news, animal news, art news, items for sale, births, deaths and Dirt Farmer photos will be on this blog. I can hear you sighing..or at least I feel better.

As you can see, I've added a little overview on the right hand sidebar. As my books develop, hopefully I can do one of those fancy sites with tabs and floating donkeys someday.

In a nutshell:

-If you were a Donkey Dream blog reader, all of those posts are consolidated into this blog now, and I hope you'll Follow this blog too.

- Since I took the Apifera-a-Day store down, I will now post items periodically on this blog for sale. High end paintings are still available on my main art site, as are prints. Pillows, dolls, raggedy items will NOT be posted, except in a once or twice sale each year. Sales will be noted on this blog.

- Check the side bars of this blog for incidental single items for sale with a Buy Button.

- All lavender items will be sold at Local Harvest, where we've been selling for awhile now. Wholesale/large orders still can email me directly.

- Pino's Apron Gallery is an entity of it's own, and it has it's own link. It is totally revamped, and looks very sweet, I think. Please visit his aprons and buy one, the money helps senior creatures. It will tell you how to send aprons if you care to.

I don't know, is it? My head hurts. I do feel better without the extra baggage, but I still feel like my identity is evolving and I need something more...I don't know. For now, it works.

katherine this looks great....how on earth did you do it right after pie day...are you on a pie high??? it really is very easy to navigate and it can evolve over time if that's what you wish...pino did a very impressive job on his site too!

Thanks, Sharon. I'm hoping the side bar page tabs on upper right side bar, really give an overview for new comers, or old comers, since before things were sort of all over the internet! I fumble along.

Hi Katherine! I understand where you are coming from. I too had several blogs--still have two, and it's quite a chore keeping up along with the Renegade Farmer site and..well, LIFE! So hopefully this affords you some time and sanity :)

Well, speaking for myself as someone who loves your apifera farm blog most, as long as you continue your posts about the animals and life on your farm, I will contine to be happy. And it will make it a whole lot easier for me to keep track of the various donkey causes and stuff as surfing out to the other blog from time to time made my head hurt! And now I hope that this isn't an omen for me, as I'm just about to start a new, second blog myself which of course, is opposite to what you've just done!
;)

Be well. Take it easy. Have a rest now. Trying to take everything into consideration and see things from all sides, yours, your readers', etc, can be exhausting.

By the by, the word verification code at the moment is 'skessup' which looked at first glance like 'stressup'. So, quite applicable then!

Hey Old Bird- see, I rest my case. And if you felt that way, there are probably 100 more like you. My next dilema is maybe doing a Flikr site so I can organize 5 years of photos.

I agree, it's very nice this way. I've thought about having more than one blog but just couldn't take on that extra commitment. It's hard enough to post some other things on flickr than are on my blog and to read the blogs of others...plus everything else in life. Good job!

Thank you for reading! The farm and my art/writing keep me hopping, so might not respond immediately. Thank you for understanding. ~Katherine & Apifera ~
