A rooster apron arrives!

NOTE: I just found out Paul actually will make these for people too- but she needs seed bags. Read the comments section of this post if you are interested in others.

This might be our most unusual apron yet - a plastic apron with a rooster made from feed bags! I'm sure I'll get the details from it's maker, Paula over at Hawks Nest Farm. You can just get gooey icky things all over this apron and then hose yourself off- true farm style!
Here is a picture of the lovely Paula with her lovely chicken. Now you must go read her blog and visit with her chickens.

The other wonderful part of the package was the two jars of their home made honey!!
Lavender will be on the way, Miss Paula...

I asked Paula if she made these to order - so here is here reply to me. We just love thrifty farm girls. Go Paula!

"yes, these are the plastic feed bags from fleetfarm i use to feed my chickens! i made tote bags first: a "roo bag" and 'henny bag"...wished i had saved all the bags since they hatched. i have pre-orders from people, but need more bags (need way more chickens...ha!) just put request in for people to send me bags on our farm blog! isn't this just the way things gooo sometimes??? timing is everything... :) oh well...it is fun! am making a bird food bag for my mom's birthday next week!"
